RPI Softball Off to Strong Start
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball roster has been finalized and the Engineers have eight seniors, seven juniors, two sophomores and seven freshmen. RPI opened the season with a 9-3 start from 12 Spring Break games in Florida.

RPI Softball Names Captains
Four student-athletes have been named as captains for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team, it has been announced by seventh-year head coach Amber Maisonet. Stephanie Caudle, Lillian Kolehmainen, Morgan Kollmeier and Courtney McArthur will assist in leading the Engineers for the 2017 season.

UNG awards more than 800 degrees during fall 2016
The University of North Georgia awarded more than 800 degrees for the fall 2016 semester, including hundreds awarded in commencement exercises held Dec. 16-17 at the university. "We are here to honor you with the richest tradition in the academic community - a commencement ceremony," UNG President Bonita Jacobs said before conferring degrees. "We all know what it took for you to reach this moment. We know that, as graduates of UNG, you will add meaning and value to the lives of those around you. Our hopes and dreams are with you. Congratulations on this important milestone."

More than 1,500 Students Named to Fall 2016 Dean's List
A total of 1,515 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2016 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

University of North Georgia President Bonita Jacobs recognizes more than 1,300 students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the fall 2016 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

SUNY Oneonta Welcomes New Red Dragons
This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 12 other states and countries. New students moved in on Aug. 24, and the fall 2016 semester starts Aug. 29. Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.

The university's spring commencement ceremonies were held May 1-3 on UNG's Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. This spring semester, UNG conferred some 1,300 degrees. Additionally, 36 graduating members of the Corps of Cadets took oaths as second lieutenants in the National Guard or U.S. Army.
